Cecilie Manz

Designer, born in 1972, residing and working in Copenhagen. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (School of Design) in  1997 and completing exchange studies at the University of Art and Design in  Helsinki, Cecilie Manz established her own design studio in 1998. She is one of Denmark’s most award-winning designers, having received accolades such as the Thorvald Bindesbøll Medal in 2011, the Bruno Mathsson  Award in 2009, the Finn Juhl Architecture Prize in 2007, the Crown Prince Couple’s Cultural Award in 2014, Designer of the Year at Maison&Objet  Paris in 2018, the E. Kold Christensen’s Honorary Award, the Chevalier des  Arts et des Lettres in 2019, the National Bank Foundation Honorary Award in 2021, and a lifetime Honorary Award from the Danish Arts Foundation. Cecilie Manz has participated in numerous exhibitions and collaborated with a wide range of both Danish and international design brands, including Fritz Hansen, Bang & Olufsen, Fredericia Furniture, Muuto, Georg  Jensen Damask, Nikari, Iittala, Duravit, Maruni, 1616 Arita Japan, Hermès,  and more.
