VINTROSA CHURCH

PROJECT: Vintrosa Church, Tysslinge Parish
ARCHITECT: Kerstin Åkerstedt, Arkitektur & Byggnadsvård, Örebro
SAMPLE AND COLORS ON LOCATION: Anna Rydén
COMPLETED: Fall 2016

Kasthall was contacted for the exciting Vintrosa Church project by Arkitektur & Byggnadsvård and their architect Kerstin Åkerstedt. They were handling the renovation of Vintrosa Church, which was badly damaged in a fire in March 2014. Only the stone walls survived; the rest of the wooden structure was lost. A decision was made to rebuild the church and to add a traditional choir rug. The choir rug is placed near the altar on the stone floor, connecting the nave to the spectacular new altar featuring glass mosaics by Gabor Pasztor.

The rug is 260x400 cm and made in the Classic style with elements of Lurex, and the surfaces are not cut, but made of boucle.
