At Waterlane house outside London, rugs from Kasthall adorn the interiors throughout

The architect Francisco Cortina has placed customized Kasthall rugs in almost every room of the house. The jewel in the crown is a bespoke pattern created by designer Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg specially for this setting. The floral pattern is based on an embroidery by the arts & craft artist Ernest Gimson, who lived in the house for a period, and also designed features that remain today – for example a staircase, which is now clad with Kasthall’s woven rug Häggå.
